Design sketch, Girl in a Whirl
Description
Sketch on board, with title "Girl in a Whirl" written in pencil. A knee-length belted dress. The bodice, top of the sleeves and the top of the skirt is pleated. The set-in sleeves are gathered into a cuff at the wrist. The collar is a turtle neck. A smaller sketch shows a full cloak with a pointed collar and overstitch detail at the edge of the collar, down the front opening and around the hem. This cloak is similar to HM 1999.13.141.
