Photocopy and photograph of design sketch, Checkmates

Description

A photocopy (A) and a photograph (B) of sketch, with title "Checkmates" written in blue ink on the front of both. Annotations on photocopy A "Sketch No. 6" in blue ink and "#3 Fall suit color? Hy. Blue. self buttons" written in blue biro, and on photograph B "Checkmates" in blue ink on the front. There is a stamp in green ink on the back of photograph B "Deegan-Photo Ltd., 31, Lr. Leeson St., Dublin. Phone: 66320. Reprint Order No. A66-602." Photograph B is a copy of a more finished sketch of the same design as that of photocopy A. A two-piece suit (jacket and skirt). The skirt is gathered with short inverted pleats at the waist. The short jacket is fastened with four buttons down the front. It has a tie collar. The set-in sleeves are three-quarter length. The model is shown wearing gloves.
