Design sketch
Description
Sketch on board, with annotations "Blouse in silk or fine cambric" and "Kilt in saffron tweed" both in pencil and on the front of the board. The address "Sybil Connolly 71 Merrion Sq Dublin" is written in pencil on the back of the board. A shawl collar wrapover double-breasted shirt. The edge of the collar is frilled and the sleeves are banded at the wrist to form a frill at the hem. The boy is shown also wearing a kilt with the pin on the right side and knee-high socks and buckled shoes. Winsor & Newton Fashion Plate Board.
