Photocopy of design sketch, Understatement

Description

Photocopy of sketch (HM 1999.13.212), with title "Understatement" in pencil on back. A two-piece suit (jacket and skirt). The straight skirt is knee-length. The jacket has a pointed collar with lapels faced in a contrasting fabric. The jacket is fastened with three buttons down the front and has a buttoned tab on either side of the waist. The set-in sleeves are three-quarter length. The model is shown wearing gloves.
