Design sketch, Caprice

Description

Sketch on board, with title "Caprice" written in pencil on the front and in pen at the back of the board. A knee-length fitted belted double-breasted coat. There are three rows of two buttons and a pointed collar with revers. There are set-in full-length sleeves and set-in seam pockets. The hem of the coat has six rows of overstitching. A smaller sketch shows a belted dress with a tie collar and set-in sleeves which are gathered into a cuff. Winsor & Newton Fashion Plate Board.
