Design sketch

Description

Four sketches on board. The largest sketch shows a knee-length belted coat with flap pockets. The coat is fastened with four buttons down the front. There is a pointed collar and full-length set-in sleeves with turned back cuffs. A smaller sketch shows a bias cut panel skirt with a waistband and a blouse with a tie collar and sleeves gathered into a wrist cuff. Another sketch shows the back view of the blouse which indicates the gathering at the back of the collar and top of the sleeves. There is also a back view of the coat which shows the overstitched detailing of the seams. Winsor & Newton Fashion Plate Board.
