Design sketch, Spectator

Description

Sketch on board, with title "Spectator" and annotations "Sketch No. 4" in blue ink on the front of the board. A calf-length fitted dress with a V-neck detachable white collar (annotation "inset of white detachable" in blue ink). There are darts along the shoulder, a seam at the waist and down the centre of the bodice and skirt. The short sleeves have a turn-up buttoned cuff. There is a flap pocket at either hip. The back view shows an inverted pleat down the centre of the back of the bodice (annotation "pleat centre back" in blue ink) and a tab buttoned at either end along the back waist.
