Artist's Statement

Flow is a narrative that explores the connections between dancers. It speaks about physical connection and the transfer of energy between people. Physical connection and movement is represented in the undulations of the wheel-thrown discs, some more severe and some more subtle. These undulations interact with each other showing the command and response that is required for partners to perform a dance. The expressive brush strokes of coloured slips within the vessels convey the notion of a transfer of energy and internal feelings of flow.
