Artist Statement:
We share this planet with so many beautiful and inspiring birds. Through their eyes we can observe and see ourselves in many ways. The black-headed gull depicted in this photograph demonstrates a focused presence, consistently engaging in movement and observation. I love to observe and photograph birds in their habitat. When you engage in observation you have the chance to capture something truly unique at a single moment in time.
