A Bugs Life, Drawing Workshop in Celebration of National Drawing Day
In the grand scheme of things, those creepy crawlies you squirm at are the unsung heroes of the ecosystem. They play cupid for flowers, act as nature’s recyclers, breaking down plant material, and serve as a buffet for animals higher up the food chain. Once you grasp their purpose and why they do their little creepy dance, that fear morphs into fascination. Suddenly, that scary encounter turns into an impromptu episode of ‘Planet Earth’ right in your backyard! So, let’s debunk the myths and give these misunderstood critters their well-deserved applause as we create illustrations that depict the fascinating drama of “ A Bugs Life” and why they are so important for our ecosystem.
During this workshop participants will create a colourful collage to represent their favourite bugs : lifecycle, habitat, food, contribution to our eco system and the dangers they face as a result of climate change.
