Celebrating Creativity for Wellbeing as part of Limerick Lifelong Learning Festival 2025
The Hunt Museum and Midwest ARIES are pleased to announce the return of their Creativity for Wellbeing programme. The first session will take place as part of the Limerick Lifelong Learning Festival 2025.

Session Overview & Schedule:
Part I – 11.00am to 12.40pm
This will be facilitated by Midwest ARIES and uses group discussion to help participants to
- Develop a wider understanding of what creativity is
- Understand how creativity benefits personal wellbeing and
- Find simple ways to weave creativity into the everyday.
Venue for Part I is the Hunt Museum, Captains’ Room, on Floor 1
Break – 12.40pm to 1pm
(light refreshments will be served but please feel free to bring a snack)
Part II – 1pm to 2.15pm
This will be facilitated by the Hunt Museum with artist Evelyn Kelly. It enables participants to experience the benefits of creativity through hands-on art making.
In this session participants will create a plant pot using sustainable materials. They will then decorate it with hessian on which they will print stylised animals and foliage like those found on different Hunt Museum ceramic objects. They will complete their creations by adding compost and marigold seedlings.
Venue for Part II is the Hunt Museum’s Garden Gallery on the Ground Floor
Important Information to know:
- 15 is the maximum number of places in each session
- It is essential to book session places through Midwest ARIES.
- The Part 1 session format and content does not change from session to session
- Participants are expected to participate in both parts of each session
- Light refreshments will be served during a short 20 minute break but please feel free to bring a drink and a sandwich with you
- Please do not wear your best clothing. You might get paint or other art materials on them.
- If you book a place and cannot use it, please contact Midwest ARIES and they will reallocate it to another participant
