About the Workshop

Local ceramic artist Margaret Walsh will lead workshops to create Tree of Life tiles.

During this workshop participants will create a terracotta tile that reflects a sense of place in our local environment. Each tile created will be kiln fired and used to form a collaborative ceramic wall feature that will reflect a picture of earth,  created from the earth. This collaborative piece will be on display in our new clay studios.

Participants will also have the opportunity to self reflect as they create a miniature effigy from air drying clay which they can take home.

All materials supplied.

Participants are advised to wear old clothes or an apron.

Clay relief tiles are displayed on red boards, each featuring intricate, nature-inspired designs. The earthy tones and textures evoke a sense of creativity.
A woman in a black suit stands beside a series of textured terracotta tiles on a white wall. The tiles feature handprints and abstract designs. The setting is serene and gallery-like.
