Our Culture Night programme for 2023 is inspired by the exhibition ‘Night’s Candles are Burnt Out’. The museum will be a hive of activity with events and activities for all ages, including performances, mini-lectures, screenings, interactive experiences and technology demos. Culture Night will also mark the opening of “Night’s Candles Are Burnt Out”, an exhibition that shows how we can help fight back against Climate Change.
Culture Night @ The Hunt will also be running in conjunction with The Polish Arts Festival.
4pm-7pm: RTE Lyric FM’s Lorcan Murray will present Classic Drive. Lorcan brings you the perfect musical soundtrack, wherever you are, sharing a feast of music for both the curious and the knowledgeable and featuring listeners’ own choices. | Study Room 1
5pm: Dr. Yonit Kosovske will present a screening of the Triple Spiral, with Q&A afterwards. | Study Room 2
5pm-8pm: The Hunt Museum education team will provide a preview of the STEAM activities that are set to run for primary school groups in connection to our new exhibition ‘Night’s Candles are Burnt Out’ | Main Gallery Studio
5pm-9pm: Living Statues will populate the Hunt Garden for the evening.
6pm: Mini Lecture by Mike Roycroft about Séan Keating’s painting, Night’s Candles Are Burnt Out | Main Gallery (Lower Ground Level)
7pm: Elemental Tales 2 | Hunt Museum in a Garden

7.30pm: A Dance Performance in response to Night’s Candles are Burnt Out | Captain’s Room
7:30om: An Taisce Climate Ambassador Stories – 10-15 min storytelling styled talk where Climate Ambassadors share why they became a CA, what actions they have taken, what they hope to do next, any special area of interest/skill/study and what they want to share with the people of Limerick. | Main Gallery (Lower Ground Level)
