Visual artists Helen Delany and Brenda Aherne (AKA Electronic Sheep) created the knitted tapestry Notifications Off as a special commission by First Fortnight Festival and funded by The Arts Council of Ireland. The aim of the artwork is to open up a conversation around mental health awareness. In the research and making of the piece the artists were reminded of the importance of creativity to happiness and overall well being.

The workshop will give attendees an opportunity to delve into their own creativity. It will explore the themes and stories of art and music detailed on the tapestry and you will be invited and facilitated to share your creativity through image making, text, textiles and collage.

The workshop will be informal, relaxed and fun.

Materials will be provided. No prior art experience is required and all are welcome.
