Roderic O’Conor Lunchtime Lecture

Join us on Tuesday, 12th November, from 1-2pm for an engaging lecture with art historian and Hunt Museum Docent Bernadette Robson as she delves into the life and work of renowned Irish artist Roderic O’Conor.

Roderic O’Conor (1860-1940), often regarded as the first Irish modernist, was born in Co. Roscommon but spent much of his career in Paris. His work reflects the bold influence of the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist movements, making him a key figure in Irish and European art.

With generous thanks to the Institute of Conservation (ICON) and Tru-Vue, for their support with this conservation project. The paintings have been beautifully glazed with Tru-Vue’s Optimum Museum Acrylic®. This cutting-edge glazing will protect the artworks while ensuring they remain vibrant and well-preserved for years to come.

This is a free event, booking essential.
