A rearing figure of a stag in silver-gilt. The hind legs rest on an oval plinth decorated with flowers and leaf motifs. The front quarters are supported by a stem decorated with leaves. The head can be removed. The piece was perhaps used to hold wine or spirits at table. German or Austrian.
