Axehead
Description
A bronze socketed axehead with one loop. It has a mouth with an out-turned lip with the internal plan of the mouth being almost square in section causing the socket to be four-sided, converging to form the splayed cutting edge. This is slightly bevelled. Each face has three raised vertical ridges.
