Axehead
Description
A green dolerite axehead with ovate symmetrical faces, founded butt and broad rounded sides. The edge is heavily chipped, flaked and blunted with two large flakes in the centre. The axe is ground with traces of polish on the faces. There is an unusual deep red stain on the upper portion of one of the faces. The cross-section is oval.
