Workshop Breakdown
Part I – 11.00am -12:40pm
In Part 1, we will discuss how creativity supports our wellbeing and mental health. We will:
- Explore what the term “creativity” means and the wide range of creative activities available.
- Gain an understanding of the important role creativity has in enhancing our sense of wellbeing and improving our mental health.
- Identify the potential barriers to creativity and explore ways in which we can build in creativity to our daily lives.
- Start a creativity planner to help us get started, whether it’s learning something new or revisiting an old hobby.
12.40pm to 1.00pm – Break (Complimentary tea/coffee will be provided. Please feel free to bring a sandwich)
Part II – 1.00pm – 2:15pm
Part II enables participants to get hands on with creativity. This session will focus on Collaging From Nature.
Sticks, grasses, leaves, wood, berries and flowers are just some of the art materials that can be found in nature. Join the artist Evelyn Kelly, and experiment with a variety of these to produce a collage based artwork. Natural materials will be supplied, but please feel free to bring some of your own to this workshop. No experience required!
The workshop is free for adults aged 18+
