Games in the Garden – Riverfest 2024

Riverfest 2024 is here and we have a jam packed weekend planned for you!

All events and workshops are free, with chairs and gazebos on site incase the rain visits!

Friday 3rd:

• For the whole day we’ll be hosting Games in the Garden! Join us for archery, golf, bowling, chess and more!

2:30pm

• Join a guided tour of The Hunt’s Collection of art and artifacts with our friendly and knowledgeable docents! Email booking@huntmuseum.com to book your place as numbers are limited.

Saturday 4th:

11am – 3pm:

• The Friends of the Hunt Museum are holding a Plant and Cake Sale to help fundraise for their events throughout the year. All plant pots are uniquely hand-made by artist AJ Shipley!

• There will be a Plant Swap held at the greenhouse in The Hunt Garden, where you can bring any plants you have to trade for another! The plants being traded have been lovingly grow in the greenhouse by our Garden Volunteers.

• Watch a live Woodturning Demonstration with Kevin from the Irish Woodturners Guild! Kevin will be showcasing the skills involved with the traditional art in person, in conjunction with our current exhibition “Turning Tuns 40” – Celebrating 40 years of the Irish Woodturners Guild.

2pm – 4pm:

• Learn how to make kites from scratch using recyclable materials in our Kite Making Workshop! This is an all-ages workshop and all materials will be provided on the day.
