Workshop Schedule
Part I – 11.00am -12:40pm
In Part 1, we will discuss how creativity supports our wellbeing and mental health. We will:
- Explore what the term “creativity” means and the wide range of creative activities available.
- Gain an understanding of the important role creativity has in enhancing our sense of wellbeing and improving our mental health.
- Identify the potential barriers to creativity and explore ways in which we can build in creativity to our daily lives.
- Start a creativity planner to help us get started, whether it’s learning something new or revisiting an old hobby.
12.40pm to 1.00pm – Break (Complimentary tea/coffee will be provided. Please feel free to bring a sandwich)
Part II – 1.00pm – 2:15pm
Part II enables participants to get hands on with creativity. This session will focus on Mindfulness & Art Making. It will begin with a guided breathwork exercise helping participants to tap into their own creativity and to create art from a place of flow, play, enjoyment and relaxation. Being present in the moment, participants will focus on the joy of creating art using paint, collage and pen rather than on producing a set outcome.
Artist Evelyn Kelly will facilitate this session. No experience is necessary.
Free event, all materials will be supplied.
