Thursday, join us for Games Night in the Captains’ Room! Enjoy giant versions of Monopoly, Twister, Snakes & Ladders, and a variety of other board games
Sonic Stories: 22nd August
Join Vlad Smishkewych and Yonit Kosovske for an enchanting musical journey spanning five centuries. This concert features a rich tapestry of voice, harpsichord, hurdy-gurdy, and lyre, showcasing treasures from 12th-century intercultural troubadour songs to 17th-century solo harpsichord toccatas and suites. Experience the vibrant songs and dances from across Europe, including Portugal, Spain, France, England, Germany, and Denmark, as well as Sephardic music from Turkey and Bulgaria. The program includes works by Dowland, Ventadorn, Bataille, Pachelbel, Weckmann, Froberger, Buxtehude, and more.
The Quarter Dozen: 29th August
The Quarter Dozen, an instrumental trio from Limerick, masterfully blends traditional, classical, jazz, and Latin influences into their original compositions. Featuring piano, drums, and woodwind, they craft a dynamic and immersive soundscape that bridges diverse musical worlds. Their performances are rich in rhythm, melody, and innovation, offering a captivating journey across genres and cultures.

Gramophone Social: 5th September
Step back in time to the 1920s with Gramophone Social and enjoy an evening filled with Ragtime and Jazz. Vintage enthusiast Trevor Gyves has meticulously curated a selection of music from his collection of bakelite records, spanning from the 1900s to the 1950s. Using two antique, hand-cranked gramophones and vintage microphones, this event offers a unique and nostalgic enhancement to your night at the museum.

Kaito Rodrigues and Friends: 26th September
This string trio presents chamber groups from around the world. The culture of getting together with friends to play music and have fun is a worldwide activity. With music for dance, sing or just to be appreciated by itself we’re going through a journey from europe to latin america showing the musician life outside of the big halls and theatre.
