The LSAD 2nd Year Fine Art, Painting students present a collection of work entitled: Shape of Things to Come. The students have reacted to the artifacts and the space of Limerick’s Hunt Museum. Through a series of Paintings and 3- Dimensional forms the work presents a journey and exploration of the rich stories and histories of the Hunt Museum Collection.

This project provides the opportunity for Painting students to actively engage and respond to the Hunt Museums important collection, which includes over 2,000 works of Art, including Picasso, Giacometti, Gauguin and Renoir as well as vitrines full of curious artefacts.

Each year a diverse range of ideas and concepts emerge from this collaborative process, not only regarding the actual objects and paintings on view but also the display methods used by the Hunt. This is first year the Fine Art, Painting Department collaborated with the new LSAD, TUS Maker Station to create unique and innovative forms. Also on sale are a series of Fine Art posters depicting imagery related to the Hunt Museum project.
