Lecture on Art & Architecture in French – The City As Inspiration

La ville est la source d’inspiration pour ceux qui l’imaginent et la (re)construisent comme pour ceux qui la vivent ou juste la découvrent et la traversent. La ville est une expérience ! Architecte-urbaniste, artiste peintre et enseignante, Jelena Stamenković vous emmène en voyage : de Saint-Étienne à Limerick en passant par Nouméa en Nouvelle-Calédonie. À la façon d’un écho, elle propose de mettre en parallèle ces différentes villes afin de questionner le paysage urbain comme espace de créativité. La conférence en français sera suivie d’un échange avec le public. Lors de la conférence, Jelena exposera ses deux tableaux inspirés par des villes et leurs ambiances uniques.

The city is the source of inspiration for those who create it and (re)build it, as well as for those who live it or just discover it and pass through it. The city is an experience!

Architect, urban planner, visual artist and teacher, Jelena Stamenković takes you on a journey: from Saint-Étienne to Limerick via Nouméa in New Caledonia. Like an echo, she proposes to draw parallels between these different cities to question the urban landscape as a space of creativity. The lecture in French will be followed by an exchange with the audience.

At the lecture, two of Jelena’s paintings inspired by cities and their unique moods will be exhibited.
