What does it mean to truly belong to Limerick. I Belong was hosted on the 11th in the People’s Museum with Gorm’s Mamobo Ogoro and  speakers Mostafa Darwish, Alice Carroll, Caillum Hedderman & Performance by Joyce Zacks. They delved into ‘Belonging to Limerick’.

I-BELONG Events are a part of the Belonging Exhibition which is curated by the Hunt Museum and supported by the European Investment Bank Art Collection

This event focused on what it means to belong to limerick. It explored how limerick has evolved to reflect modern Ireland. It spoke on Limerick’s history, and limerick today, and highlighted the pitfalls that may occur for communities who feel that they do not belong to Limerick.

The I-BELONG event series is a reflective series of events that is a part of the Belonging Exhibition that is a part of the European Investment Bank Art Collection which is pivotal to the European Expo. The exhibition is based in venues across Limerick City and curated by the Hunt Museum. Hosted by Gorm Media the event series encompasses 3 events and exploratory discussions that reflect on the exhibition and what it means to belong in Limerick, Ireland and more widely Europe.

The events will be taking place March 11, March 25, April 8. A. Each event will involve a diverse range of speakers and artists who will reflect on the exhibition and share their stories of belonging. Events will also engage audiences in their own reflective journey of belonging. Why? Because we all deserve to belong.
