Lumen at the Hunt Summer Art Camp 2023

Award winning Lumen Street Theatre return to the Hunt Museum this July. Lumen set their sights on the heart of the Hunt with 2 weeks of Summer camps, within the magnificent setting of the Hunt, its collection and their fantastic garden at the riverside.

These Lumen team will share their knowledge and teach the skills of Shadow theatre, prop making, mask making, bookbinding and lantern building to name but a few. Set within the Hunt Museum, Participants will be inspired by the Hunt collection in addition to their Summer Exhibition “Visions of an Unsettled Earth”.

Each day will explore different art and crafts, focusing on recycling and sustainability, and each week will culminate with a showcase of their work. Lumens’ team has over 30 years of hands on experience devising, implementing and working with young people on a variety of Art and craft projects and camps. They bring enthusiasm, energy and fun to the exciting and educational projects within their diverse programme.

Cost is €150 for the five-day camp which is inclusive of all materials. Camps are for 8-13 year olds.

The camps will be held in a dedicated education wing at the Hunt Museum

and will run from 10am to 4pm.
