Shape the Clay Taster workshop

Where: Hunt Museum, Hunt Museum Studio

When: Saturday October 1^st, 11.00am to 1pm

Workshop is suitable for 8 to 14 year olds

Who: 8 to 14 year old youths who are affiliated to LCETB Creative Youth project

Cost: Free

Experimentation in clay is the order of the day during this workshop. Try you hand at coil building, a foundational and ancient skill used since the Neolithic Stone Age period to create pottery vessels. You’ll also explore and get to grips with the Ancient Greek’s sgraffito technique, a method of scratching away painted clay to create popping images, patterns and textures.

All materials are supplied but participants should bring an apron or wear old clothes.
