About the programme

This programme is designed to broaden understanding of what creativity is and the wellbeing benefits it can bring to a person’s life.  Midwest ARIES (HSE Mid West Community Healthcare Mental Health) and the Hunt Museum are working together to deliver it. The programme will run from October 2023 to June 2024 and eight FREE adult workshops will be offered.

Each workshop consists of two parts.

Part 1 – Led by Midwest ARIES facilitators, this is a discussion based workshop enabling participants to explore creativity, barriers to participating in it and how it can be woven into everyday life to enhance wellbeing and support mental health.  The format and content of this workshop is repeated throughout the series and does not change.

Part II – Hands on creative arts workshop led by Hunt Museum staff and artists. The art activities and media change with every workshop that is delivered during the series.
